The village occupies higher ground above its neighbor Donji Branetici, with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The road to Gornji Branetici follows the same route as Donji Branetici before branching uphill toward the upper village. This final stretch is steeper and narrower, climbing through mixed forest and open pasture. The road surface is maintained but can deteriorate at the edges, particularly after winter freeze-thaw cycles that crack the asphalt. There is no through traffic — only local residents use this road — so if you break down here, you are unlikely to encounter another vehicle that can help. The elevation brings earlier snowfall and later melting compared to the valley below.
